that is stolen from us.
Time, memory, world.
We tolerate the unbearable
with unbearable poisons.
Until a better order, if there is one.

In other houses (I remember)
there were more of us, we drank
hurriedly to youth.
But life — let’s call it
this — separates those who join together,
likes easy abysses.
