The sea blew bells,
The bells dried the flowers,
The flowers were heads of saints.

My memory full of words,
My thoughts looking for ghosts
My nightmares many nights late.

At dawn, my pure thoughts
Flew like telegrams;
And in the windows lit all night long
The dead woman's portrait
Struggled desperately to escape
